Owner / Head Coach
Jessy Casillas is a man of integrity and compassion. He grew up in Bakersfield and loves this community. Mentoring young people comes naturally to him. He played sports in high school so he knows how powerful teamwork and mentors can be in the lives of young people and people in general.
Jessy was not the perfect teenager; he struggled with life. Dealing with anger due to growing up on the streets is where he made bad choices that eventually caused him to end up in the juvenile delinquent system, which landed him into the prison system as an adult. After being in prison for 3 years, Jessy learned he needed to change his life. Right after prison, he met his wife at a concert where he knew he needed to change for good. They married shortly after meeting and believes much of his success is due to her healthy and positive lifestyle!
He loves being around people he can help with their life goals. Football is a way where he can work with players consistently and help mentor them via goal setting, anger management, employment opportunity all the while teaching them dedication, responsibility, and teamwork. Watching players win in life is his passion on and off the field.
Jessy wants to help Kern County become a better place and believes the Kern Oilers Football Program may be one of the best opportunities that can happen to players, families and the community.
